My Dell computer, of Oklahoma Christian, saw it’s last day Sunday, January 18, 2009 in my apartment. Dell was given to me in 2003 to replace the much larger, and boxier IBM think pad. After 6 years of countless assignments and even more AIM conversations, I knew it was time to let go. Dell had a lifetime of laughter and tears, as well as website and graphic design. Together Dell and I took on the world, and discovered phenomena such as Facebook and MySpace. Though holding strong when put through various long trips and multiple droppings, Dell spent the last year of its life barely holding on, shutting down at any second and literally holding on by a hinge in the computer screen. Tho the Dell will never be replaced in our hearts, it’s time we move on to bigger and better Laptops.
