Baby It's Cold Outside (Jessica Simpson)

Two posts in one week?

When I was younger, around this time, I used to sit down at our kitchen table and flip through the newest toy catalog that had come in for that season. I would sork for hours, making sure that I mark only the toys I really wanted, careful so I wouldn't get something that only partially wanted.

As I got older, my list grew shorter but featured items that were consdierably more expensive. I would ask for iPods and televisions, DVD players and designer clothes. I have always been told that as long as I'm not married, I will always receive gifts from Santa. It looks like this will the last Christmas that I'm single, so I was thinking I should make it a good one. This is my list to Santa this year...

1. World Peace... Ok but really, there is a high chance that I will be living in Europe next year, and I would like to feel safe while I'm there.

2. A successful, complication-free surgery for my beautiful niece... So far I feel like my family has been blessed with a strong little girl. All of the prayers have paid off, as she has had only a handful of set backs. We have another hurdle to jump this week.

3. A Missouri win this weekend against the Sooners. I realize that Christmas is still a month away, but who says I can't ask for an early gift???

4. A safe trip to and from England. Oh! Did I say John is flying me over there for Christmas? Well, I would like to get there safely.

It's funny that while you grow up, Christmas completely changes. I've always heard that Christmas is for the kids. It's true, and while I love the decorations, the weather, the smell, and the cookies, I have grown to love watching how excited my nephews get.
