Grapevine Fires (Death Cab for Cutie)

Most of the time, whenever I go weeks and weeks, months and months without posting it is because there is really nothing interesting to write about. This isn't the case this time. Life has been zigging and zagging through, giving me only hours each day and with these hours, I choose to sleep!

Life is so random sometimes.
5 inches of snow in Spring? The weather has been so beautiful here lately. With 80 degree days and bright shiny afternoons I have been able to feel summer get closer and closer. Until this blizzard sweeps Oklahoma last night. I wake up this morning to find more snow than I have seen since the Telluride Ski Trip of 2001!

Roy Williams, Kyle Korver, Carlos Boozer and Derron Williams? So what if I hang out with these athletes every so often. I mean Roy Williams and I might have chilled in the office for 30 minutes. No big deal.

Dirk autographing session? Of course I would win an autograph session with Dirk! And of course I would have to pass it off to my sister. Things like that happen daily ya?

Life is so perfect sometimes!
About 2 months ago I began to hate my job at Petra. I was putting in countless hours of overtime, dealing with controlling and belittling people, putting everything into projects that were just ridiculed. I then agreed to help open a sports bar in downtown OKC. I was just going to train the waitstaff on the side and make some extra money. Then, about a month ago, I had the worst week at Petra. I sat at my desk and cried pretty much all day. This so happened to be the week of the Grand Opening.

Just when i was convinced that i could quit Petra and wait tables full time, I was offered a salary job with this Sports Bar. I would be the assistant manager, but get to handle the promotions and events. I would get to meet people who have connections all over OKC in sports marketing. I would get to do things like spend 30 minutes of my day chilling with Roy Williams in the office. I would be able to work 1 job, and not kill myself working 3!!! Needless to say I took the job. And I Love It!!!

Funny how life is sometimes....

Wedding plans are coming along great, but i'll save that for another post!
